So I have been trying to purchase the founder's pack but I keep getting an error that doesn't let me choose or input a payment method. I then realized that I was not able to purchase anything on origin.
I contacted EA customer support, since yesterday I spoke to 5 different "advisors". I cannot express how incompetent they were, I doubt that they even understood the issue. One of the advisors was blaming the game itself even though the problem was for all of origin. A "technical specialist" said that the problem was not due to my account, but when I created a throwaway account it was working properly. While I was talking to the 5th advisor she wanted me to end the chat so that she could send me the troubleshooting steps, because apparently EA thinks that its a good idea that the only way to send an email is after ending contact with the customers, and guess what, she sent me the same steps that the first advisor sent me.
I want to be able to support the game and the developers, but when the launcher and publishers are so * and incompetent that they are not allowing me to pay them money, I can't help but not want to play the game.
