Since update have not been able to get past start screen pressing all Xbox one controller buttons don't do anything

My mate has this issue also but he can clear alternate Mac address and it works, I do this and still can't get past start screen.

What the hell is going on?

It was the most recent update that screwed you up.

either wait for an update, or refund the game

While we work on this, the following steps should help you get into the game. 

Remove any accessories but your primary controller. Even something like a wireless headset can be a factor, so don't leave anything out. Open up your Xbox menu, open Settings > Devices& Streaming > Accessories, and remove everything but your primary controller.

Also some players are having issues with Elite V2 controllers, plugging it in if it's connected wirelessly, or going wireless if it's plugged in should help.
