I have a fairly new iPad Pro 10.5. I tried making a purchase today for the first time and it gives me an error saying to check I’m connected or payment is set up and refers me to the Apple iTunes support site for help. I do have a valid payment method saved on my Apple ID and Apple wallet but I still can’t make the purchase. Any ideas?

Disregard this. It’s an issue with Apple not EA. I had to call iTunes support, got transferred to a senior advisor, who then had to send it to their enigineering department because apparently somehow my AppleID is broken. Sigh
