When I tried to access SWGOH it hung on the title screen - I killed the app and restarted and it still hung. Restated my IPhone and now it says I don’t have an account. Can’t login to game centre either???

I'm sorry to hear that.
swgoh is currently having some problems on iOS because of the latest update. The dev team is working out a solution to solve any problems iOS users are currently having.

Clearing the cache and restarting seems to have helped out some players.

I have restarted my phone.
Deleted SWGOH
Cleared the cache
Restarted the phone
Reinstalled
Logged into SWGOH
and I am still stuck at the new player screen?
How else can I access my previous saved status? You have my ally code of 681124685

I don't work for EA nor do I work for CG, so I can't directly solve the problem you're having.
However, there was an update released yesterday with some fixes of previous problems caused by the latest big update. Did that update fix your problem?
Reinstallation of the game again might be required to link to apple game center again.
