Can't Join a BFV multiplayer match - because of notice about squads

The  match join/log in page gives me this notice 'not authorised 'only the squad leader can initiate a multiplayer game join'

1. It makes no sense as a question or sentence

2. I can't play battlefield

3. There isn't an obvious way around it 

4. it sucks.

Just restart ps4. Simple fix

If you join a squad in the main menu or are still in a squad after a game: you as squad member are not able to start a new game, This is true! Although the word "Join" does not make sense as this is the basic start button for a new game and should be placed elsewhere. So to be able to start a game without the squadleaders input you will have to leave the squad first...
