Blackbars occuring in 4:3 after the new update

Before the newest update (System override collection) i was playing on 4:3 1280x960 without blackbars and i had a great time, but now that the new update came out im having blackbars and the game is unplayable for me. I tried every solution i could find on reddit, youtube and forums and none of them worked, but they were working before the new update and now they dont. Iam stuck here and i want to play the game with my friends without the damn blackbars. Help.
