Binoculars not working in campaign mode

Summarize your bug The binoculars are not coming up if I hold Q. Before anyone posts the usual solution of ADS from click to hold, I already have that on hold but it does not work. The only time it works is if the player is holding it or if I ride on the horse.

Interestingly, when I played the pirated version of the game it was completely fine. Bug in paid version. Funny!

The answer from EA is dated August, it is now almost April.  Is there an ETA on the fix yet for this bug?  Not being able to use the binoculars makes playing this game very difficult and frustrating.
