What happens when the bug occurs? It changes my monitor settings and turns on G-sync.

Hi. I have looked around in many places and all I could find was 1 dude who posted on this forum some months ago with the exact same issue. Every time I open the game it turns on G-sync. While the nvidia controll panel says it is not on, the light on the monitor itself is indicating g-sync is on, and the screen tear is quite obvious. The reply on the other persons thread was a link to a reddit thread where they explained how to mess around with g-sync settings in nvidia controll panel itself. I did that and I changed the settings for the game in nvidia controll panel to have g-sync turned OFF. How every, this did nothing and the game still auto turns on g-sync. This is driving me insane. Please, help?
