Go to the settings button and then the Overlay option in the app setting section. You can then simply disable the overlay. Have fun.

This is crazy that a year after this issue was first reported that it's still an issue.

And caused by their own game app!!!

Disabling the "in game" in the app makes it impossible to accept game invites, so it's a double edge sword.

I guess EA were super salty about having to revamp this entire game with regard to their loot box pay wall, and it shows that they simply decided to just not spend another dime on it.

I Resolved the issue by disabling all on-screen overlays. 

ie: Discord overlay, Windows games overlay, Nvidia overlay.
