Download of the same game?
If so, if you already on the point in game where the game has no data to access because the data is not on your hard drive, then yes, of course it can crash.

Yes, it is always advisable to run Dxdiag and attach the resulting file with your post. If you don't know how, do this:

Windows key + R
Type in Dxdiag
When the window comes up, click on SAVE ALL INFORMATION button on bottom right.
The file DXdiag.txt will be saved in your documents folder. That is the file that will allow us to see if you have display/driver/configuration problems & some windows errors.

I had many errors in Battlefront II. I solved by using Origin’s repair app. Install latest graphic driver. Open Origin/ Open My Game Library/ right click Battlefront II/scroll down to Repair left click. I used this app. four times. Each time Battlefront improved II. Now it works well. I hope this helps
Specs: i3-4150, GeForce RTX 2060, Direct X11 Battlefront II is resource heavy.
For lag/ picture twitch in game /in trooper window try pressing ESC for 5 seconds
