Battlefront 2 100% CPU usage

Recently I have been having some problems with Star Wars Battlefront 2. The game runs perfectly on any graphics preset

but after a while it crashes due to high cpu usage. Does anyone know a quick fix?

These are my pc specs:

MSI Geforce GTX 1050

Amd Athlon x4 860k quad core cpu

8gb RAM

1TB Hard Drive

450W Corsair Power Supply

hi i am having the same issue pc specs are as follow

intel core i5 6600k overclocked 4.4

16gb ddr4 ram

gtx 1060 3gb

500gb harddrive

im running the nvidia optimization witch maxes everything on ultra and im getting 100 frames or more but sudden stuttering due to cpu usage maxing out at 100

Have this issue too. FX8350- stuttering and 100% cpu usage. got at xmas so wouldnt know what to compare it to.

Same here. It happened on the Endor mission and then also the 4th mission on Vardos. The game slows to a crawl and then eventually it freezes up and crashes.

i7 7700k
ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080
16 gb ram

Already have it on DirectX 11. It lessens stutter yes, but doesn't keep the game from 100% cpu usage and eventually crashing on certain levels.

had the same issue, I fixed all the issues I had downgrading to 17.11.4 (AMD CRIMSON) Drivers for the Graphic Card. Every issue I had is gone, crashes, stuttering, 100% CPU usage, etc. Do not install Adrenalin 17.12.X it will literaly ruin your experience!

I found a very simple way to fix this. Just limit your in-game FPS, depending on your display frequency to 144 or 60 fps (e.g. with MSI afterburner or nvidia inspector) 

Helped me a lot and a nice side effect, loading times between matches where reduced too.
