Battlefield V minimizing issue

★★ Novice

pc specs:-

AMD Threadripper 2990wx (32 cores)
Gigabyte X399 Aorus Extreme
64Gb Corsair Quad Ram
Asus Titan X x2 + MSI Titan X x2
Windows 10 x64

If I launch the game the menu comes on in window mode.    I have a 4k monitor so that's a quarter of my screen size(small).     So I go to the options menu and as soon as I click on the Display icon the game will minimize.  At this point I click on it but the screen goes black for a second and then it back minimized again.    So I cant change any thing.

I have delete the saved directory called Battlefield V but the fault continues. I have 68 games installed and this the only one that has any trouble.

Same as others on this forum in that the game ran fine before the last update.

Sorry guys I fixed the issue

★★ Novice

With my concern ov keeping the PC up to date I installed the update KB4532695.   This update was optional and so I fixed the issue by re-installing windows 10 but NOT that update.   Now the game works fine.

I even lost the search option in explorer so the update was even messing with windows inself.

Again thank you so much for all your help I really do appreciate it Wink

try enabling DX12 as it seems to be more flexible

try using ALT+Ent key combo to switch to full screen modus

try using borderless window modus

★★★ Guide

Have you tried disabling origin in-game overlay to see if the issue goes away?

Thank you for trying to help me guys Wink.  I found the settings file and I change it by enabling DX12.   This did nothing as the error still occurs.

I also disabled Origin overley that did nothing either and I discovered that Alt+Enter makes the game go black screen and minimize too.

Borderless window does the same too.

Just discovered that trying to change the window size make the screen go black and minimizes it too. Frown
