Hi there, @OhCKDexterHaven.
Try clearing your alternate MAC address with these steps:
Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"
Let me know what happens. Thanks!

Hello, @ClemsonZack11.
I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

Is your son under 13? If so, it's possible that this is the issue. Due to complying with COPPA regulations, if you're under the age of 13, you are restricted from multiplayer modes.

He is. However he does play other multiplayer games. Is there a way to change this?

Unfortunately, there is no way to change this as it would be in violation of COPPA regulations.

It's possible he's on an adult account for those games. That's not something I would really know since we don't have any visibility into those accounts.
