Battlefield V Connection problems

Okay. So I had been playing BFV today for an hour or so and then I lost connection to the servers. I checked my PC, no connection issues, checked other Origin games, other Battlefield titles, no issues. I tried multiple fixes myself (all the usual restarting of the game, Origin, PC, Router, etc.) and none worked so I got in touch with support (via chat). 

After a brief conversation I was instructed to close Origin, delete a certain set of folders and files, restart my PC, and then launch Origin and try again. I followed the instructions to a T, booted BFV back up, and it worked! For no more than 5 minutes...As soon as I went to try and load into a game I was met with the 'V' loading symbol across the UI, armoury had stopped working, ToW progression, couldn't launch a game of any kind. I waited 5-10 minutes and no joy so I restarted the game and it will not connect.

Tried all the restarting stuff again, tried the set of instructions again and no results. Went back to my support case (that had been marked as resolved?), resumed it, tried to get in touch, nobody available, so here I am.

It is only BFV that I'm having issues with, and i've never had any before today; I'm also checking twitter etc. but no official acknowledgement of a wider server problem. Waiting all day for another support member to become available is impractical and just not possible for me (and most people). 

What do I do?

I completely understand the frustration.

You're playing on a Wired connection correct?

If you're still experiencing connection issues after the steps I provided, I would recommend contacting Support to see if there's further steps you can take to resolve this.

I've had exactly the same issues - if I can get access to a server it'll be alright for a while - then quitting the server and I loose connection. Today I can't even get connected, everything else on the internet is fine - just BFV

And it isn't being acknowledged as an issue by any official sources. So all we can do is sit here and wait. Their support seems good on the surface but seems nobody actually has any answers on what is going on and/or how to fix it...

And then a huge chunk of the people that even can play are reporting increasingly bad stuttering/performance issues. It's exasperating.

Battlefield v's servers go down sometimes for maintenance to fix small problems does this issue still occur?
