Battlefield 1 operations lag

★ Apprentice

Hello!

Recently I bought Battlefield 1 Revolution edition but it's pretty much unplayable on operations because of the lag. It lags only when I'm near players, the more players, the less fps. I have a decent gaming laptop and a decent internet connection so I don't understand why is this happening.

If you have any ideas about what I can do it would be much appreciated!

What’s your CPU?

Hey @Raz0r_44222

We'd love to help you out! If you can share a DxDiag report that would allow us to see what we're working with.

Here's how to do that: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

There's an amazing PC performance guide that works for other games too. Check it out here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Main-topic-PC-Performance-issue/m-p/7012186/highlight/tru...

I5 7300HQ but the game runs with 60fps in campaign and in team deathmach. If there are a lot of players on map then my fps are going down to like 15-30fps

Hello @EA_Blueberry !

Thank you for your replay! I have done what you said, I hope i attached the file correctly. I will check the PC performance guide too but the game works perfectly when I play the campaign or when there aren't that many players on servers. I'm waiting for your response and thank you for the help!

That’s normal, because the CPU is not good enough to run 60p smoothly.

Hey @Raz0r_44222  the DxDiag shows me your driver for the video card is out of date. You'll want to either download the GeForce Experience to help it automatically update for you or visit the official site to manually download the driver for your Nvidia card. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

As someone else mentioned, your CPU is on he lower end with 4 cores and you may want to try adjusting the resolution to a medium or low setting in game to see if your FPS improves. Updating to the latest driver though might fix it for you though. Good luck!

Hello @EA_Blueberry  and thank you again for the reply!

I have installed GeForce Experience but it said that my driver is up to date. So I downloaded and installed it manually. After this nothing improved.

But I think that the problem is somewere else. More exactly at the rooter. Even tho I have a fast internet I had some connectivity issues in other games, issues like strict NAT type. I dont think I have the same NAT type problem but maybe something else might be the problem.

I also realised that in on operations I see the Latency Variation icon yellow and red. My laptop is powerfull enough to run the game at least in 60 fps. I tested it and it works in other game modes with a smaller amount of players. That's why I think it's because of some connectivity issues.

I am waiting for your response!

Oh and I forgot to say, the game runs in 60 fps with graphics set at high but on operations even if I turn the graphics to the lowest possible nothing changes, same lag.

Hey @Raz0r_44222

Here are some other things you can try:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-pc/

1. Turn off the Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher

2. Clean Boot: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/

3. Check your Frame Rate Limiter settings in game, in the Video/Graphics settings, and make sure it's set to 60, instead of Unlimited

Let us know if the Connection steps, and the other steps improve this issue for you.

Thanks Standard smile
