Battlefield 1 Frame Drops

Hi everyone.

Been a while since I played this game, but I really want to get to it again. The only problem is, that I constantly get frame drops. No matter which map I play on. Specs should be more than enough. Computer is just set up and everything is up to date.

Specs are

• Ryzen 5 1600x @ 4GHz
• MSI Radeon RX580 8G
• 16GB Crucial Ballistix 2400MHz
• Windows 10 Home

Tried lowering settings but even on lowest I get these frame drops. I also don't use any software which reads my temperatures or programs that create and overlay. Only thing enabled in the Origin settings is the fps counter and turning that off also doesn't work. Program is whitelisted in my Antivirus. Because I know that may cause issues too in Battlefield games.

Is there anything else I can try?

Already found the solution, turns out that DX12 was enabled. Thanks

@LizardKuwifu I'd start with a Clean Boot and play with only the game & Origin running. If there's anything running in the background that might be interfering with the game.

If this has no effect perhaps you could try recording a small section of gameplay, the severity/regularity of the drops might be illustrative.
