This is the main culprit from the last update:  KB4284835

I performed all 6 steps as well as uninstalled that windows update for a second time. Game seemed to run fine until today when it crashed and required a restart of the computer. I restarted to see windows once again applied the update even though it was supposed to be paused until next month. I have now manually disabled the windows update service, uninstalled the suspected offending windows update, and will perform the 6 steps again. Fingers crossed. I will provide an update on the situation soon.

I have. Also been dealing with the server rental bug. Server has t crashed yet today since update though. Hoping that is fixed. My game on the other hand was still crashing after the update. I ran through all the steps again, but added a 7th step. I was transferring over backups of my bf1 settings. Instead, I started from scratch. No crash or lockup since. Will test a few more days and come back here to update.

Just an update, the game is still crashing. I am fairly confident this is the bug people are experiencing with ryzen systems. Many people with ryzen systems are crashing and I am now concerned EA isnt going to fix the issue since they claim that the update the other day was their final support update. I may have to cancel my preorder if this is how they leave a game. Any more help from the community would be great as EA support just tries to have me run through the same steps every time I call.
