BATTLEFRONT 2 CRATES NOT APPERING

So i just got battlefront 2 free of the epic games store and when I go on and play I can't see the items coming out of the crates or even get more of them. I've completed the first part of the story mode thing and I have not  received any crates from it and the times that they did show up i didn't receive any rewards. I tried searching up the issue online but I have found no solution. can someone help me because I'm not really able to level up.

When opening crates with emotes, mine are blank, but other things have worked for me. I assumed I was still getting the emotes, but it was just the display that was bugged. Worth double checking your inventory to make sure if you haven't already that they definitely aren't there
