Audio problem(also had it in titanfall 2)

So I have this issue that i had admittedly worse in titanfall 2(made it unplayable sadly) where the music/sounds distort and make them unbearable to listen too. In titanfall 2 it was all sounds and thankfully it's mostly just the music in Apex so I've stuck to just muting the music and dealing with the occasional hiccup. My research before told me it was because i was using my HDMI connection as my primary sound source, not sure if this is a common problem or just a me thing.
