Audio crackle when characters speak, and with explosions.

Has anyone else had this issue?

It's not my computer because I don't have this issue outside the game.

For some reason with certain high frequencies the audio crackles/distorts. 

Sound like a speaker clipping.

Any ideas? 

I'm using SPDIF out with realtek at 96kHz 24 bit. Anyone else have a similar audio config?
