[ Edited ]
★★★ Newbie

Hi All,

Having issues for weeks now. I start a new match, and randomly in the middle of all match what I start normally, my ping is goin up to 1000, my fps go down to between 10-20, and after my ping stabilize, but my fps is stuck.
After I quit from the game, my laptop is still very slow until I restart it.

This thing happens every match, no matter what I do.

No issues when playing other games. Drivers up to date.

I have Intel core i7 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti.

My gpu temp is around 65 celsius while playing Apex.

Please help me, I don't want to leave the game. Frown

I was playing with 160 FPS yesterday, then my game crashed, and now suddenly my FPS dropped to 25-30 and won't come back up no matter what I do. GPU temperature is at 56°C.

I don't know what happened, but I can't play the game.

CPU: i9-13900KS

Ram: 64,0 GB 4800 MHz

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT

I have no crashes but crazy fps drop in every games. It goes often around 15-20 fps and bcome impossible to play during fights.

As for you.. other games are working perfectly as usual. It's clearly an Apex problem.

My config if it can help:

i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz

16Go Ram

GeForce RTX 3060 12Go

game installed on a SSD.

Windows 10.

DXDiag joined

Last information : I had none of these problems before the Quads update.

P.S :

I forgot to share an impression I have.. that could be totally wrong : Since this famous patch I've had the impression that the game relies a lot more on the CPU... and a lot less on the GPU than before (Which seems rather strange when the evolution of games is going in the opposite direction).
As I have a fairly old CPU, this could explain the drop in fps.
But then... I'm not a technician, so it's just a feeling.

PS 2 :

I forgot to add a comment that could go along with the idea of the game running much more on the CPU and less on the GPU since the Quads games update.

Someone in this topic : https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Game-freezes-after-new-mid-season-update-Lobby/td-p/13829...

pointed out that before he always had long shaders compilation at the launch of Apex each time there was a new nvidia driver...

and that now, it don't do that anymore. Shaders compilation is always "fast". no difference after a new driver.

I noticed the exact same difference on my computer.

I'm not a technician...  but Isn't "shaders compilation" an operation that relieves the computer of a whole bunch of calculations so it doesn't have to do it after... in full middle of the game?

if the game no longer does it (or does it much less well) since this update... That could explain the huge fps drop some of us have now.?

just a thought.
