Apex freezes entire Pc

Everytime I launch apex my screen turns distorted and black while all my keys/mouse freeze. I tried uninstalling, restarting, downloading new drivers, downloading old drivers and deleting temp files. Tried all other games on my computer to see if any similar issues (battlebit, trackmania, iracing, cyberpunk, armoured core, the division 2, r6 siege, and assetto corsa) Apex is the only game with any effect on my computers ability to live

Cpu: i9 13900k

Gpu: rtx 4090

64gb ram

On a 2 tb Samsung ssd

Msi z790 pro

I removed 2 of my 4 sticks of ram and it works perfectly fine now.

It sounds like something is going horribly wrong when you try to launch Apex. Could you share a DxDiag with me? Maybe I can diagnose the problem from there.

Ive also grabbed an event viewer error code

can update with a video of the crashing if that would help

Looking at your DxDiag, it looks like nvwgf2umx.dll is your issue, which indicates that it's an issue with your Nvidia drivers. You've mentioned that you've tried updating and going back to an old version of your drivers, but have you tried a completely clean install? Looking online, that seems to have solved it for a lot of other folks.

i was quick to accept this answer, crashing again and im fairly confident there are no extra drivers. cannot find any atleast. did a clean boot as well and it fails in the exact same way everytime.

I'll unmark it as the solution, then. You say "crashing again": does this mean that for a brief while it stopped crashing? Is it doing so in the exact same way as before or are we getting an exciting new crash?

Yeah I got in once and went to bed as I just wanted it to work, it's the same crashing it was as well. It stopped ONLY killing my pc tho, half the time it only crashes apex now!
