Apex executable doesnt do anything - same with origin application

Hello,

i downlaoded the initial apex exe which , i assume, runs and downloads the rest of the data, and then installs it.

it asks if i want to let windows run this exe and i say yes..and then the cursor turns to the symbol like its processing and then it just stops. goes back to normal and the application doesnt run.

For Origin, i installed that (since apex is apparently installable from there), but when i double click to run it. same thing.  doesnt ever start.

No crash errors, no dll errors, etc for either?

I turned off windows security essentials to see if it runs, same thing.

Is there a location i can download all the apex files directly? would be easier for me to just to install directly if it has its own setup.exe .

dunno.. have you tried running apex installler as administrator by right clicking and run as admin?

I'd suggest uninstalling APEX and Origin, then running "ccleaner"'s registry clean app. 

Then

Download and install Origin 1st, then from within Origin install Apex. 

If I understand you correctly, you downloaded an Apex installer first? before installing Origin?
