I have been playing apex off and on since season 1 and have always had random problems but nothing that doesn't allow me to play. I recently reinstalled my OS on an SSD and apex was fine after for a bit but now I crash 10-20 seconds after entering a match. the screen freezes and continues to play a sound loop with no error prompts. I don't overclock and the game works in training.
My specs:
What I have tried:
turning all my settings to low.
Switching my install location to a different drive.
reinstalling apex
reinstalling origin.
turning off origin overlay
starting apex in admin
setting easy anti cheat failures to restart.
turning off anti virus
updating to latest driver
repair apex legends
I have tried some others but I can't recall everything. Please help I love this game but at the moment its unplayable.

Looks like you have the same issue as the people in this thread:
The workarounds in that thread work for some people - good luck!

@EzyHawkit doesn't crash on lobby. it crashes only at the start of matches shortly after character select. I have tried both duo and trio with exactly the same results.

Wow you are correct. my game works now. the problem, for some reason, was my controller needed to be unplugged before playing. which is fine because I don't play this game with a controller. this definitely needs to be addressed by the bug team.
