Apex Legends unplayable with overkill rig

Is your lag only in the first minute or so? people teleporting, walk and get thrown back 5 steps or around a corner, taking too long to pick up weapons, things like that? i've started having this problem for the past week or so. I was two levels away from the gold havoc skin before all this started lol I've given up on the game until the next update where maybe there will be a fix.
