I am getting the same error. It has happened at least 10 times in the last 4 hours for me.... I have a 2080TI with 32GB of DDR 4 RAM with an i7 processor if that matters. But from the error code it is from Apex sending faulty or bad commands....

Crashed like 8 times since the patch, Never experienced this before in Apex.

0x887A0006 - DXGI_Error_Device_HUNG The application's device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.

Gonna put the game away till a patch arrives, this is unplayable.

Any fixes yet? I've cleared Origin's cache, reinstalled Origin and Apex, reinstalled GeForce drivers, and rolled back to previous drivers (as far back at early October) with no luck.

Still have this issue frequently. I don't know if this is related to my windows state just waking up from sleep.

@TayderTaught this i solved my completely uninstalling nvdia's software (experience, audio hd, graphics, etc) then reinstalling geforce experience. I believe it has to do with in game overlays, so turn those off after, or it may happen again. good luck!
