Proof of Apex Legends not connecting to preferred server
This game claims that it has Multiple servers in Asia , but only connects 3-4 servers even after choosing a preferred server, which in my case i choose three SG server in Data center. Yet it connects to some server in EU(probably Amsterdam) and 3 other servers in US.
If anyone else having this same issue please let me know.
Steps to follow to determine your in-game ping when you join a game --->
Launch the game
Open Task Manager - Performance
On the bottom click Resource monitor
In Resource monitor go to Network
Drop down Processes with Network Activity
Check r5apex.exe (Apex Legends's game)
Drop down TCP Connection
And see Latency column which gives your in-game ping and tells which server you have connected to
Also if there is a quick resolve for this that i can do from my side please let me know. I rather prefer playing this game on 40 ping rather than 150

Yeah I can't tell if it's me or the game but I could play BFV just fine.
But
When I play Apex the latency and ping suddenly sky rockets like crazy.
I checked my CMD and what ping I get and it was at 3000.
Checked the latency at the ip of the game and it was at 100-240 constant.
Can't say if it's from net or game it self. :/

There is no using choosing preferred serves as it always no matter what you chose divers you to either EU or US servers.

I live in Philippines and I get servers like
236.40.80.34.bc.googleusercontent.com
196.40.80.34.bc.googleusercontent.com
and I get ping around 50.
But during night sometimes there is lag. During day it's fine.

LOL I'm having the exact opposite issue as you guys. I'm in the US and I'm getting stuck on Asian servers. This is driving me crazy..... IDK how to fix it, except wait till the "data center" button appears during each game. EA / Apex really need to fix this issue. It's ridiculous.
