Apex Legends Crashing

★★★★★ Novice

Here are my crash reports from yesterday and my first one this morning. Frown

These happen at any moment. Sometimes (luckily) I'm at the menu, sometimes I'm dropping onto the map, or running around the map looting, or shooting... If my game is open, it has the potential to crash at any given moment. I cannot recreate anything, nor provide you with more detail on "what was happening" in game. Name something, yup, it crashed there.

I know I sound salty. :/  My bad fam, I'm not. I am a bit frustrated, but I still VERY much enjoy this game, and want to help fix these known issues. So I will Start submitting any and all of my crash reports as they roll in. (When I'm playing all day... it's a lot of them.) Hope it helps.

The first 2 are from yesterday, after those I had 2 crashes straight to desktop that did not produce reports. The attached file is todays first crash report.

I should also note that my graphics card, GTX 1660, is up to date and, I have tried repairing and updating my game manually to no avail.

Community Manager (retired)

@Orbnotacus you have three very different crashes.

In the attached apex_crash.txt, the crash is in nVidia's driver.

In the first spoiler, Microsoft's Direct3D 11 driver crashed when we called PSSetSamplers to unbind some textures.

In the second spoiler, the crash is in our code while handling network messages, caused by an invalid pointer. I've filed an internal bug for somebody familiar with that code to see how this can happen.

I hope this info helps, and please post any other crashes you get. It would be helpful to know if you keep getting the same ones or different ones.
