Apex Legends Crashes randomly RTX card.

★ Novice

Hi everyone,

I'm new to EA Origin and so far have been having great experiences. However, I have been having a strange issue with Apex Legends. Every now and then I get a crash that I don't see unless I hit the windows key and hover over apex app. something about device hung. I was reading online that people with RTX cards have issues. Is anyone else having problems. my SPEC are below. Also, note I'm not very tech savy so forgive me. Also, forgive me if this is the wrong place to post.

CPU= I7 9750H

RAM=16 GB

GPU= RTX 2070 MAX Q

Installed to SSD drive

I appreciate all the assistance. Thanks.

Hey @DoomGuy101

Welcome to Answer HQ, no worry's this is the right place for this issue.

They are aware of this issue and working NVIDIA to get this issue solved.
Dev Tracker - DXGI Crash

For now, players have found a few workarounds.

Open Device Manager and expand the Display adapters
right-click on your NVIDIA graphics card under this category and then select Properties.

The Device Properties dialog box will now pop up. Select the Driver tab, and then click on the Roll Back Driver button.
In the Driver Package rollback dialog box, click Yes to confirm.

Now do some testing and see if Apex is still crashing.
If it is stable again, Have fun

If you still experiencing some crashes.

Some players have posted that changing some values in the Regedit fixed the issue.
I don't really recommend this option as modifying your Regedit incorrectly could result in failing to boot into windows.

But I'll leave a link to the thread if you want to check it out.

Hi Zeelmaekers,

I appreciate the response. I'm glad to read it's something Nvidia knows about and will fix in due time. I will just stick around and play battlefield till it's fixed. I have a lot of other games I play and would prefer not to roll back drivers in fear of it messing up other experiences with different games. Thanks for assistance.

"in due time" ...well considering this has been an issue since day one of this game, don't get your hopes up.

If you are using RTX series GPU(graphic card) in your  PCs like-  3080, 3090, 3070, 2080, 2070 then this problem can appear. I also were getting the same issue but the following website helped me to resolve the issue you can also have a look on  this :
