@CroL0co Been having the same issue ever since fight night was added to the game. Screen freezes turns black and my processor maxes out. I hope this issue is resolved very soon. Spent too much money on this game to be having an issue like this.

@FOB_OmariusPrime How did you do the underclock? the best way is to set it with the curve, that way the clocks wont go above the rate you set them and they will work on the voltage you put them on.

★★ Guide

Ok so after few days with 0 crashes the game started crashing again without me doing any changes to the system. It's just sad how these kind of thing ruin such a great game.

@CroL0coThere's a faster way to close the game.

Press Win + Tab.
Make a new desktop.
Open Task Manager.
End Apex Legends.
Win + Tab.
Close Desktop 2.
Go back to Desktop 1.
Re-launch Apex.

Much quicker than having to sign out or reboot.

As a side note, this is happening on both of my systems. More on my AMD system by far.

Main system:
9900K @ 4.9Ghz
CL14 3200Mhz 32GB RAM
RTX 3090 OC
1440p @ 144hz (because anything over 160~ is a jittery nightmare even with Gsync and stable frame rate. Come on guys....)

Second system:
3900X no OC
CL14 3600Mhz 16GB RAM
RTX 2080 no OC

1080p @ 144hz

Is that the case with any game or just Apex?

I have mine capped at 238 and i get micro stutters all the time.  I just tried it at 160 and still get them.

I play on 1440p 240 htz monitor

RTX 3080

Ryzen 5 5900x

16gb of ram

I don't get stutters on Modern Warefare

@CARLS_CAR_LOLThx for the reply. I found that "workaround" on youtube, it's indeed much faster.

@FOB_OmariusPrimeIt's because of their poor implementation of Nvidia Reflex. Every driver after Ampere was released enables Reflex in Apex and with those drivers even with stable fps there is some visual stutter. I have a 1080ti and when I switch to older drivers that don't support Reflex the problem is completely solved.

@FOB_OmariusPrimeJUST Apex. Drives me NUTS. I have a 240Hz as well with Gsync Ultimate. Game runs poorly starting somewhere around 160-170'ish FPS. Try turning off Nvidia reflex. Go to your launch options and add : +gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 0.

Also, check your Nvidia control panel and make sure that low latency is NOT set to Ultra. Either on or off is fine. I personally keep mine on.

If none of that worked, you need to also lower the refresh rate of your monitor. For me, I still got stutter if I capped my frames at 170fps and still had my monitor at 240hz. I had to lower my monitor's refresh rate to 144 (mine goes 144, 200, 240). I wish it had something in between so I could try, say 155 or 165. 144 runs like a dream for me.
