Re: Apex Legends Crash no error - PC (apex_crash.txt)

★ Novice

I am launching the game and then I get the message (Apex crashed in d3d11) and it tells me to check the text file. I can't do that though because it does not let me click anything without responding to the message. Once I respond to the message the text file it had been telling me to check has disappeared, because I responded and then my computer thinks everything is fine and that I don't need the text file.

Since the season two patch. Every game I load into crashes at random times. An error message pops:

Apex crashed in uiComputer.

More technical information should be available in "apex_crash.txt" in your Documents folder.

Ctrl+C in this window will copy this message so you can paste it as text.

@OrioStorm

Intel has new microcode for the 9900K (and other processors).

I installed microcode "BE" (previous release was AE), that was posted on win-raid forums, ( https://www.win-raid.com/t3355f47-Intel-AMD-amp-VIA-CPU-Microcode-Repositories-Discussion-14.html )  using the VMware based cpumcupdate 2.1 (available on notebookreview forums discussing microcode patches) and converted the bin files to dat (renaming it to microcode.dat) and installed it with the batch file.  The converter is on the same notebookreview thread ( Intel Microcode.dat Converter ) and tested it with the old Apex code path  (Parameter -force_old_gather_props ).

So far no "Internal Parity Errors" have occurred in two hours of play.  I'll keep posted because you know I've been wrong before.

Okay *edit* got one error in about 4 hours of play.  Uninstalling microcode and testing again.
