I have tried _everything_ to fix this game. Whatever I do it crashes except if there's 4 cores disabled in bios the game works perfect. Not a single crash or hand during 2 days. After that I tried activating all cores, boom. Crashing is back. So 4 cores disabled the game works. This is a workaround and tbh I'm about to take a break and see if there's other similar games meanwhile.

Setting the affinity to 4 threads did not work for me. Took a little longer to freeze, but eventually it happened on my 4th game about 30-45 min. I verified that only 4 cores were working by using Speed Fan. This showed that I had all 8 cores available, but only 4 of them were doing any work.

Only fix for me on an i7-9700k is to disable 4 cores in the bios.

Hey Respawn, why are you releasing a game that you can't keep up? Why is this so hard for you? Why don't you get some help from outside, outsource your game maybe if it's too complicated for you?

Honestly not sure at this point. Given that I don't have an ETA, I'll throw out one idea that one user reported fixed their issue. He said even though -maxthreads didn't work, he changed the number of cores available to Windows to 4 (in the windows settings) and he said that it resolved the issue for him. If you're feeling ambitious, you might give it a try. Here's a link on how to do it: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/set-number-cores-windows-29171.html

When I tried opening Apex Legends this message came up, sadly I do not know the cause of this. Nor do I know the solution to it.
