Re: Apex Legends Crash no error - PC (apex_crash.txt)

@OrioStorm just following up with you, I Flashed my BIOS to the newest version a week ago and did the 05/2019 windows update and have not crashed in Apex in the same timeframe. Guess something worked or was configured wrong? just wanted you to have a heads up if this helps but it may lead others into the right direction.

@redarksoul your PC tried to execute an instruction at offset B7EF. The instruction actually starts 2 bytes earlier at B7ED. Because it started in the middle of an instruction, it interpreted it as a different instruction, and doing the wrong instruction crashed.

From what I can tell of the registers, they are consistent with it having executed code earlier in this function, but they are not consistent with the calling code having a bad pointer to the start of this function.

So, it looks like the instruction pointer in the CPU skipped two bytes. I don't know why it should do that.

Does this happen often? Are you overclocking at all? Do you have any other crash logs?

@FatBearDK, unfortunately we do not.

@msaad_dp that crash is in your AMD graphics driver in a thread that it created (AMD bought graphics card maker ATI years ago). There's no Apex code in the callstack, so I can't look into it. You can try to report it to your graphics driver maker.
