I had the same problem just now. Black screen after the Respawn and EA splash screens appear without sound.
I fixed changing the default speaker and disabling the Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound from settings, looks like something in the sound driver failed... After changing the main speaker the game booted with sound and everything worked fine.

for me it was the audio i had changed the bit rate to 24bit 96khz. make sure your

sound playback is on 48khz in windows

U go to nvidia geforce experience and u go to home click detail and click custom setting and change display mode to windowed borderless

I got a fix!
just disable Intel graphics in device manager and launch the game then enable it back then the game crashes and launching it again will work fine
better that signing out & signing in

I solved my problem changing my sound device in windows. Apparently was an audio conflict with my sound card, it just started to happen after the last game update.
