Hi there,
I have a big problem with Apex Legends.
When I start it, I have a first error message :
"r5apex.exe - Application error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."
and another one when I close the first
"Easy Anti-Cheat : Untrusted system file (C:\...\GdiPlus.dll)"
I've already tried the sfc /scannow and all the repairs commands I found on Internet. Also checked the Cryptographic Service. Did a Malwarebytes + Kaspersky scan.
I had no problem before my formatting my HDD (done it one month ago but reinstalled Apex yesterday). I have no Windows update. I updated my driver.
Help me please!

it's been 2 days since this * thing has been happening . i was really excited for this * "season 1" or whatever it is.

"Have you already a Registery cleaner with Ccleaner ?"
Yup yup (actually not with CCleaner but with Glary Utilities ( which is pretty much the same thing)). Didn't work. I'm desperate.
Any other solutions, please ?

Hey @Biskweet
Might deleting and reinstalling EAC is worth a shot.
Open your file browser and click your location bar.
Now type the following loctions in and delete the files mentioned:
Now restart your system, open Origin and Repair Apex Legends
(please note you have to repair all game that use Easy Anti cheat.)

Let me know if this worked

Hi! Thanks for answering. I'll try it as soon I'm home, but I don't believe it will work. The problem is the GdiPlus.dll file located in my Windows directory which should not be there (or which is corrupted). I'll try it though, stay tuned.
