Account hacked and later banned...

A few weeks ago my primary email was hacked. I changed the passwords and everything for my accounts and linked accounts to that email. But when I got on apex my settings were changed and even had a bunch of friends deleted from my Friends list. Again, i changed my passwords and everything and nothing has come of it since, so i thought i was okay. This morning i wake up and get online to play apex and ive been banned. Having never used any cheat software and nothing more than, scroll wheel firing and abusing infinite wraith portals which was patch a long time ago why would i get banned. Something tells me it has to do with my account being hacked, maybe the hacker cheated while they used my account? Is that a common practice with them? Dont know how to go about getting this fixed. After spending 200$ on the most recent iron crown event its pretty awful to have your account banned the next week.
