I had the same problem and solved it.

The Problem is solved! A very nice member of the EA DE forum found the solution.

Directx and/or vc_redist wasn´t or wasn´t correctly installed. After reinstalling the newest version of vc_redist (https://docs.microsoft.com/de-DE/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170) and directx in the game folder (Apex\__Installer\directx\redist) the game startet and everything was fine. Normaly these programms should be installed when the game is getting installed but I don´t know why this didn´t took place. "
