why does it say no oven is available when I have an oven?

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? when using any stovetop oven the game will tell you that there is no oven available.
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot have my sim cook/bake anything that requires an oven. unless I place the separate oven from DHD
What do you expect to see? when I go to have my sim cook, for example, a cake it will ay there is no oven available which is not the case. the only way around this is to place one of the separate ovens that came with Dream Home Decorator.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. it occurred after adding Dream Home Decorator to my game

please help it is a bit annoying having to only be able to use DHD ovens and stovetops.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@crinrict I hope this isn't closed, same issue starting today. I have food mods, All packs and kits. For my save, Seems like it's only this one household, who also has something dirty in the living room that no one can find to clean. House from gallery. Also using better bb. So move objects is always on. Placed oven from dhd and boom! They can bake again. I didn't do that reset you told the other person but I took all the mods out, so I know it's a base or pavl issue

@trulyfabulous This is a bit of an old thread and reasons for not being able to use the oven are various.

Have you done basic troubleshooting ? Tried another house/save/not placing with moo ?

I think it's probably best if you create your own thread, posting some screenshots and saying what you tried.
