white screen on startup

every time i try to open the sims, it starts normal. shows the credits for maxims and ea and stuff, then at the point where it loads and plays the music, the screen just goes white and the music will still play and I cant close the game. I suspect it's because I accidentally downloaded s add on of a dating app mod. I also have a fair amount of cc. i went on a really big cc and mod shopping spree anand i think that's when i started having issues. please help, I dont know what to do and it's been months since I've played. if I have to get rid of every piece of cc or mod, I'll do that.

Move the mods folder to the desktop.
Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. This is important because it applies to the errors of the game also.
Fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library -right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder and check if a game is working now without mods and CC.
Check if there are new updated versions of the mods and CC you are using.
Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods one by one every time checking if the game is OK. Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method. ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)
You need to find a culprit and either remove it or replace it with an updated version

Thank you for explaining that haha. I know the game works without cc because for this new update, it disabled mods and cc and it worked. But the second I enabled mods again under suspicion, it started doing the same thing. The only thing is that it's a bit intimidating going through all that cc to look for one (or more) problem(s) that's messing up my game. I'll try that later and see if it works. I'm also pretty sure that the mod I mentioned earlier was a problem, since when I was going through it there was a document that said only install if is already installed in the sims. so maybe that's one thing that's causing it. I'm also really sad because I just found a cc creator that makes really nice things and I dont wanna get rid of it. My initial solution was to just get rid of all of my cc and restart looking for cc. I'm not a tech genius, so if this doesn't work that's just what I'll do.

Well, this is the price that each player must pay for using mods and CC. A desperate search for this one that suddenly stopped working after the patch and started to spoil the game. Good luck in the quick discovery of the culprit.
