@MaiaFallen I'm not sure what's going on here. I've never had trouble lighting a fire pit without fuel or anywhere my sims would get it, with no store stuff present. I asked around, and no one else can remember needing it either. Is it possible that you have a mod, or some custom content fire pit, that's requiring fuel? If you're not sure, please list the name of the fire pit, and let me know if there's a pack icon on its thumbnail in Build mode. (Each expansion and stuff pack has its own icon, as do store and custom content.) I'll try to play around with it myself to see if I can figure out what the problem might be.
