trying to reinstall sims 3 on my computer

ive had this disc downloaded before but origin stopped working so i uninstalled the game & i have been trying to reinstall it but origin wont let me. i put the disc in origin pops up, i hit install, it goes to the log in page and it says "you must be online when first logging in" which i AM online. i have uninstalled & reinstalled it & nothing i do will help. Please help me i know it will download on here because it did last year but now it wont.

@shinhopplejon  What operating system does your computer run.  Does Sims 3 show as owned in your Origin game library?  You can check within the app or on origin.com.

yes its in my library on the website

@shinhopplejon  Then all you need to do is install the Origin app and download the game.  I'm guessing the version of Origin that comes with your Sims 3 disc is too old to work properly, so it's better to download a fresh copy instead:

Keep in mind that the minimum requirement for Origin is Windows 7 SP1 or macOS 10.9 (Mavericks).
