thesims3.com Account banned? Why?

I wasn't able to go on for a few months, since the computor I played on died. I got a new one, installed all my EPS and SPs and then tried to log into my account to re-download my store content and some stuff from the exchange. It said I was "banned." I have like, hundreds of dollars of store content I need to re download on there that I can't seem to access. My email had no record of any notification or explanation. Also, I bought all my content and my game, nothing illegal or anything. I do have mods. Is that illegal? Help!
