the sims 4 will not launch

my game will not launchl. the play button in origin is shaded and it will not let me click on it. i just got the newest stuff pack my first pet or something like that. i even did the repair option and it still wont launch. i have no mods or custom content.

The XP is okay if you don't know about Did you try clearing the cache?

@Dogmom0829 most of the time this happens , the game is running it the background.

there is a few ways the fix this if that is the error.

1) you can do ctrl-alt-delete and find and stop the program

2) signing out of origin

I've done all of those with no luck. I don't have the original disc to reinstall the base game. I don't know what to do. It was working fine at the beginning of the month after I got jungle adventure. Thanks for the help.

Clear Origin's cache, then run Origin as administrator.

No I will when I get home. I decided to do a reinstall before I read this post. But I will definitely try it . Thanks for the help.
