the sims 4 crashes laptop after opening

Since the nov 12 2019 update the sims opens to a white window before crashing my laptop. I'm able to open the sims on my computer so this is only an issue on my laptop. I've tried repairing the game in origin and uninstalling and re installing. I even tried downloading the sims 4 legacy version even tho my computer doesn't need it just to see if that would work. I'm completely at a loss and I am basically just waiting to see if future updates fix this issue. please help!

@MatHawkins05  Please remove your entire Sims 4 game folder from Documents\Electronic Arts; you can put it on your desktop.  Try to launch the game again, which will spawn a clean folder.  If it works, then the problem is some file inside your old game folder, most likely an outdated mod or custom content item.

If you can't open the game even in a clean folder with no content, please run a dxdiag and attach the results to a post.
