I bought the sims 3 University Life via Origin online 3 days ago for my MAC.
I know there are a lot of forums online of people having trouble with any and all sims on Macs, but I haven't seen anything like the problem im having just yet.
The Sims 3 base pack downloaded fine, and after a crashing the first time i played it, it's now working without problem. However I paid for university life, the money has been taken and I have an invoice for it, and yet it wont appear in my 'my games' tab, and when i look for it in origin, it says 'not yet released' and I cannot click on it to download it, it just sits there in grey taunting me.
I've been on the phone with EA support for over an hour now and they are no help at all.
Can anybody please help me!
@kellymkr146 I have moved your post to the ongoing thread about this issue. There is currently no fix, it appears to be an Origin issue although this is not confirmed.(BluebellFlora)

To all those reading this and encountering the same issue, PLEASE provide more information about your Macs. It is very difficult for anyone, helpers or EA CMs, to help you and come up with a possible work around or fix without knowing details about your Macs.
Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on More Info depending on what operating system you're running:
- Operating System (Version)
- Mac model
- Processor
- Memory (RAM)
- Graphics
- Are you running any antivirus?
- Do you have Time Machine/Spotify/Dropbox or similar running?
- Are you patched up to date? You should be on patch level 1.67
- Is Origin up to date?
- Have you tried cleanly uninstalling and reinstalling Origin?

I had exactly the same problem with origin on my mac, the game was greyed out and saying 'not yet released' so I couldn't download but I had an invoice and had been charged.
I spoke to EA chat support who took me through uninstalling and reinstalling (again!) but when that didn't work they 're-issued the code' and it's now downloading on my origin client.

I had thought the original issue was with my disc so I purchased the game from origin and that's where my problem started. HOWEVER, I just used the code from the box to download and it is now finally downloading!!! Thanks for your help.

Greetings everyone,
I just wanted to acknowledge that we are looking into this issue that a few of you have been reporting. From the latest post I gather that while some of you might have luck trying to use the code they had received in the physical box once more, those of you that purchased the game via Origin may still not be able to access it.
Either way, we will keep you updated.
