i re-installed origin to see if it would help but it didn't the cas isn't downloading it keeps saying "we've encountered a problem" no matter how many time i try to download it... how do i fix this? oh and if this helps i'm currently staying in a hotel, is it the connection?

It's possible that they are blocking stuff.
You can try if it works if you add origin.com as an exception to firewall and antivirus
