i have installed sims 4 through origin and then tried to play it. it opened fine went to a screen to sign in to an account tried to sign in and it went on to say it cannot start because game data is missing or damaged, and to remove any mods downloaded or repair or reinstall in via origin. I just got this i have had the trial on my laptop which i did not uninstall before i got the game. i have already tried all these options multiple times and cannot find why it wont let me play.

Hey @gslach
You posted on the FIFA 20 boards. I've gone ahead and moved it over to The Sims 4 boards.

@milkiesbaby What happens when you try to play? Please describe what you see. Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

And let me know what antivirus you run.

@k3y0nnaa Did you originally download Sims 4 to the USB, or did you download it to an internal drive and move it to the USB afterwards? If so, how did you move it?
If you're getting an error message, please post a screenshot as well.

@K3y0nnaaa Please clear Origin's cache:
https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/
and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. If you don't see the repair option, please post a screenshot of the options you do have.
