sims 4 - not enough memory

hey guys,

ive downloaded the sims 4 on my surface but it doesnt properly start. it plays the sims 4 logo, a little bit of music and then crashes and gives me an error message about not having enough memory. my surface has 8 gb of memory though so i dont understand the problem.

any ways i could fix this besides reinstalling the sims?

Please also let me know how much memory your computer is using immediately after you restart it.  You can check in the Task Manager.
