sims 4 invisible toddler

im not sure if this is a game bug or mod related but my alien families are glitching out. whenever i try to age up alien babies they appear invisible and glitch up the game. reseting them doesnt work and nothing else i can find works. trying to continue on in the game causes the loading screen to glitch out if you try to do anything and it will never stop trying to load.
