sims 4 crashes

★★ Novice

I do not have any mods and i have attached my DxDiag and my last crash on the sims 4. My PC meets the requirements to run the game, i renamed my "The Sims 4" folder, i did a clean boot, i put origin in offline mode, and i repaired the sims 4 through origin and i don't know why my game keeps crashing. The crash is every time i save my game now and every time i travel in the game. The crash is constant. I don't have any mods installed or custom content. Please help me!!!

First, I think updating your video drivers is a good idea, here is the link for the ones you need:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/132837/en-us

When running that, choose Custom/Advanced and deselect the optional 3D and Geforce Experience components and also select the 'Clean Install' check box.

Try temporarily disabling your antivirus or other security software.

There could be a Windows system file issue and running the System File Checker can help with that:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

I'm not sure if using a 32-bit version of Windows could be an issue or not.

Let us know how you get on, thanks.

Hello,

I've had this problem in the past. Sims 4 uses a lot of high graphic details, etc, etc.. Therefore, it is critical for the computer to overheat.

-- Are you using a computer? If so, try seeing if the fan is dusty.

-- And yes, update NVIDIA.

-- Does it crash as soon as you start the game?

Please reply, in as much detail as possible, it helps people helping you Standard smile.

You can also try fiddling around with settings, but be careful. Make sure you know what you are changing and how it will affect your game.
